Time For Something New

Since I have been rather busy with school and haven’t had much time for posts, I figured it was time to try something new here at WWJ. I am going to start to do a post each week of several HBOTD worthy links that you should check out. My brain is fried from a hectic week at school and I have yet to come up with a name for this post. I refuse to use link or babe “dump” like every other web site does. If you happen to have any ideas for a name just drop me an email. Since I spend countless hours each week looking at porn, I figured this would be an easy post to do each week. Alison Angel Likes Da Bears in the Super Bowl

I think I was the only person outside of Chicago that wasn’t pulling for “America’s Team” the Saints. I am not a Bears fan, but I was so damn happy to see them win. Why? A Bears win meant that I wouldn’t be bombarded this Super Bowl with more fucking Hurricane Katrina stories. It has been like 6 years since they got a little bit of rain, so enough with the damn sob stories. I am so tired of sports being pussified by the networks and the leagues. I don’t tune in to see a 20 minute piece on how some player has a brother that’s a tard and that on his off days he takes his drooling brother to the park to feed the ducks. Give me the stats, the injury reports and maybe some history of the teams, that’s it!!! I know the networks are just trying to cater to the women that tune in, but I am pretty sure that over 60% of the audience is still men. Ladies if you want a heart warming story go watch Lifetime. Not only are sports becoming pussified by the networks, the leagues are getting into it too. This past season MLB players used PINK bats in support of breast cancer. WTF? When did the Queer Eye guys starting running MLB? Now before you write that hate email telling me how important breast cancer awareness month is, let me say I am all for Saving The Boobies, it just doesn’t belong in MLB, take the pink ribbon over to the WNBA. Sports are meant for guys and don’t need to be filled with heart warming stories or pink ribbons. So thankfully the Saints loss means no Katrina stories this year, but I am sure by the end of the first quarter I will have heard “black coach” about 2,500 times. The media is pretty much slapping them in the face by overlooking their coaching talents and making their race an issue. They made it to the Super Bowl because they are both good coaches, plain and simple. That’s enough ranting from me. After seeing these pictures of Alison Angel wearing a Chicago jersey, I will continue to pull for Daaa Bears.

WWJ Goes Back to School - Day 1

Back to school. Back to school, to prove to Dad that I'm not a fool. I got my lunch packed up, my boots tied tight, I hope I don't get in a fight. Ohhhh, back to school. Back to school. Back to school.

Over four years ago I was one semester away from graduating from UGA, but I had my dream job and for some reason I decided to quit school. Well today was my first day back in school and somehow despite having a ton of issues with registration and being extremely nervous about leaving a steady pay check, my first day went very well. I was asked the other day if I was going to quit doing the site since I was back in school. I will continue to do the site, but due to my limited time and not wanting to interfere with my school, there will be some changes coming soon. I did want to thank everyone who has been emailing me ideas for the site. I actually do read the emails you guys and gals send in. It has been hectic around here lately, but I promise I will get to all those suggestions for the HBOTD really soon. That’s all for tonight bitches, because the BCS Championship game is now on.

WWJ 2006 Summer Drinking Tour - New Years

The final stop on the WWJ 2006 Summer Drinking Tour was last night and it was one helluva a night. The night started at Goldfish for some dinner and drinks. As soon as I walked in I made my way straight to the bar to see my buddy Clint. Before I can even say hi to him some blonde grabs me and asks me to dance with her to “Brown eyed Girl.” Turns out her boyfriend or husband wouldn’t dance with her and she grabbed me to make him jealous. Thankfully I was sober and kept my distance from her by just twirling her, thus avoiding the inevitable ass kicking I would have got. After the dance, I finally got my first drink of the night, a very strong Red Bull/Vodka. We finally sat done for dinner and somehow I made my way back to the bar for another Red Bull/Vodka and some shot that Clint made up. I had the Charleston shrimp and grits and as always the meal was amazing. We settled our tab and pilled in cars to make our way to Compound. Sadly we got there late and the line was outrageous. It was hard to get anyone on a cell phone, so we actually had to stand in line and I got to do the countdown to midnight outside the club. While in line, I noticed a good looking girl behind me that looked very familiar. Turns out it was my ex girl friend’s sister. Her friends said something about how cool my ex was and my drunken ass told them no she really isn’t that cool and is actually a bitch. They found it funny, so no harm no foul. We finally made our way inside and I really don’t remember too much. Despite not getting a kiss at midnight or any action, from the pictures I have it looks like I had a great time.
